Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 can (15 ounces) pizza sauce
- 1 cup chopped pepperoni
- 1 cup chopped seeded fresh tomatoes
- 1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
- Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add mushroom and onion and sauté until tender, about 3 minutes.
- Add 2 cups water, pizza sauce, pepperoni, tomatoes, sausage, and Italian seasoning.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer, stirring, occasionally, 20 minutes.
- Before serving, stir in Parmesan. Garnish with mozzarella.
Yield: 4 servings.
